  I stayed overnight at the resort for a winter wedding. The accommodations were great, the food tasty and filling, and the service amazing. I would definitely go again if the occasion arises.

  We rented a bunch of cottages for our hockey team when all the hotels were booked in Peterborough. Let me be extremely clear: WE WILL NEVER BOOK A HOTEL AGAIN IF THIS PLACE HAS ENOUGH COTTAGES. It totally made the weekends, the kids had way too much fun, the adults didn't have to worry about anything. With everyone doing potluck, the weekends ended being very inexpensive, uber fun, and class enough to Peterborough that the drive was only 20 minutes. Best hockey tourney ever.

  Elmhirst is such a treat. We've done Christmas dinner here 2 years in a row and the staff and food are incredible. They treat us like family Every time. Was awesome to see the one partner (owner) out greeting tables with a huge smile on his face.You have a lot to be proud of and make a lot of people feel loved. So well done and very appreciated. I am proud to be your customer and share this review.

  Went for a couple days. Had great service from staff, food was good. Had problem with cabin I was in. The spring thaw and runoff caused the very loud sub pump to run all night resulting in next to no sleep. Called the front desk to complain. Maintenence came and adjusted the pump resulting in a flooded lower half of the cabin and a mid stay transfer to a second cabin. Paid for two days and really only enjoyed one. Asked for compensation and was given complimentary beverages. I do understand that you can't control the weather but very few cabins were occupied so someone has to wonder why place people in cabins with these problems in the first place. Perhaps a visit at another time of the year would result in different circumstances however I won't be returning.

  The staff and location are great. The burger at the pub is honestly one of the best I've ever had. Everyone was very happy with their food at the pub.
