LOVE LOVE LOVED this place. It takes you back to pioneer times with exhibits and interactions with people acting from that time period. It is an amazing place to take kids. The actors in the place that truly walk the walk of the pioneer have a direct effect on the memorable experience. Kids loved it. Many school groups visit the place as well for the rich history.

A nice place to spend the day exploring the old buildings at your own pace. Informative, friendly guides at each building. A good place to bring a picnic lunch and relax.

I have been to Christmas by candlelight twice, and rented a pavilion during the summer for a milestone birthday party and never been disappointed. The staff are very friendly, and knowledgeable about their history. During Candlelight, you are encouraged to be involved in history by singing, dressing up and tasting delicious treats. I definitely recommend visiting if you have a chance.
